Travel is my passion. I go alone, I go with friends and sometimes think about going with groups; not yet however, not while I can still move on my own. I have visited over 130 countries and hope to add 5 new ones every year.
The most difficult part of taking off is leaving my 3-year-old Panamanian Schnauzer behind(I adopted her when I was living in Boquete, Panama). Now I am living in the Pacific Northwest close to a brother and a sister who care for her when I’m travelling.
Update: moved back to San Diego, easier to get to new countries… and just read an interesting article someone sent to me explaining that there is a genetic reason why I travel! Need I say more?
My dog is now eight years old and my list of countries is getting longer. This year I added Antarctica, Guyana, Suriname, French Guiana and Cyprus. Since F.G. is actually just a Republic I added the demilitarized Zone in the Koreas thinking that perhaps two halves make a whole.
I have also done two group trips; both were very rewarding and worthwhile. Life is good and I realize I’m luckier than most having such wonderful opportunities to travel.
You are my travel hero!
Hello…
Here’s a little message from Türkiye to say “thank you”. I appreciate your ‘follow’, knowing how many interesting and entertaining blogs there are out there.
Blogging since June 2013, my little corner of the world tries to offer an eclectic smattering of posts, from basic amateur photography, to sharing my travel adventures over the decades, as well as day to day happenings here on our fruit farm in southern Turkey. I also throw in a few of my observations on life and lighter-hearted stuff for good measure.
You are more than welcome to have a look around, stay a while and have a trawl through my small collection. There are plenty of drop-down categories within the menu bar to help in said digging process. Of course, if you have any comments, suggestions or concerns, feel free to let me know – I’m not easily offended 🙂
By the way, your gravatar and WordPress links don’t work as they have the .com bit missing. I found you by copy/paste and then adding .com Might be worthwhile checking that out 🙂
Thanks again and hope you have a great day…
