Aging Better By Travel

I have always approached travel as one of the best educators….now as I age I see the added benefits to my physical and mental health. The Journal of Travel Research recently posted a study showing that travel can lower the risk of heart disease and offers immune resistence! I have realized that the challenges of travel offers “cognitive resilience”. They further indicate that positive tourism experiences can “actively slow the biological aging process”.

Personal proof: I recently returned from an incredible cruise on Le Ponant’s ship, Le Jacques Cartier, throughout Melanesia. Our stops included Papua New Guinea, Solomon Islands,Vanuatu and Fiji. I will detail some of the great experiences in my next few blogs.
